Description

Gomphrena globosa

This late summer darling is hard working in both the garden and in the vase. The more you cut it, the more it blooms. Adorable button like blossoms resemble pastel colored clovers and look great in bouquets. They thrive in the heat and are great both fresh and dried. This mix of white, rose, soft pink and pale lilac is perfect for weddings and romantic floral designs.

Plant type: annual
Height: 24-30”
Site: full sun
Days to maturity: 85-100 days
Plant spacing: 6-9”
Pinch: N/A
Approx seeds per packet: 100

How to grow:
Start seed indoors in trays 4-6 weeks before last frost; transplant out after all danger of frost has passed.

Harvesting/vase life:
Freshly harvested flowers can last for up to 2 weeks in the vase. Flowers can also be dried for later use. Hang freshly cut stems upside down in a warm dark place for 2-3 weeks or until they are firm to the touch. Be gentle when handling after they’ve been dried because the blooms can be fragile and can fall apart more easily.
